When a talented medical student burdened by an unwanted pregnancy stumbles upon a bound girl in the woods, she is forced to defend the life inside her from a deranged mother and son duo hell-bent on taking it from her.
Shed is the latest screenplay written by Dennis Widmyer & Kevin Kolsch. The story is of a young couple who discover a kidnaped victim in the shed of the cabin they’re staying in. As gritty and visceral a horror movie as you can get, Shed goes deeper than most of the standard fare these days, drawing upon elements from the new wave of European horror, as well as the character dynamics seen during the heyday of the 1970s.
Shed has so far won and placed in multiple script competitions. This year it has already placed as a finalist in The Script Pipeline Competition 2011 and taken an 'Honoarable Mention' at the 2011 Creative Screenwriting AAA Screenplay Contest. In past years it has received the following accolades: The Eerie Horror Film Festival (winner), The Great Lakes Film Festival (winner), Scriptapalooza (quarter finalist), The International PAGE Awards Screenwriting Fest (quarter finalist) and Screamfest (semi finalist).
We are currently developing the SHED to be our second feature film for a production of early 2012. Stay tuned for details as they come.
